About Me
My name is Brenda Cardiff and my husband and I live on our grain farm in rural Saskatchewan.
Living in rural Saskatchewan provides unlimited opportunities for amazing photographic experiences. Recently I have been fortunate to collaborate on a photography/poetry project of our huge and ever changing prairie skies that has culminated in my first
book - Speaking Of Sky.
My rural exploration of old yard sites, buildings, and structures has led me on a journey with a century old farmhouse chair, The Prairie Chair. It is a photographic and historic depiction of the people and structures built by the
pioneers who settled on the prairie landscape. The chair is reserved for you, the viewer. It is your seat in my photos and stories.
Recently I have been re-exploring the world through macro photography. Nature has so many beautiful offerings that lend themselves to the close up details of macro photography. Bugs, butterflies and flowers contain details rarely seen with our eyes. Also the abstract beauty of a water drop suspended in time, or the graceful and delicate plumes of smoke create a moment of wonder.
Thank you for stopping by.
