Lest We Forget

On Remembrance Day, the Canadian flag flies proudly, a symbol of the sacrifices made by countless individuals in service to the country. For many, like my father who served in World War II, this day is a poignant reminder of the courage and resilience displayed by soldiers who fought for freedom and peace.
As the red poppy blooms on lapels across the nation, it honours the memory of those who gave their lives and recognizes the enduring strength of those who returned. In this sacred space, the phrase “Lest We Forget” resonates deeply, a commitment to honor those who gave everything. It’s a place where gratitude and sorrow intertwine, creating a profound sense of connection to the past and a call to remember.
